Antaira Technologies Launches LANOBOX Series for Outdoor Industrial Network Deployments

Antaira Technologies' LANOBOX Series combines an industrial PoE switch, power supply, surge protection and an IP68-rated NEMA 4X enclosure for outdoor network deployments.
Antaira Technologies has introduced the LANOBOX Series, a line of pre-built IP68-rated NEMA 4X network enclosures designed to simplify the deployment of outdoor industrial networking infrastructure.
Each LANOBOX unit combines a ruggedized enclosure with an Antaira Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, an industrial power supply and a 20kA surge protector in a single integrated solution. According to the company, the all-in-one design is intended to reduce installation complexity, streamline procurement and lower total cost of ownership.
"The LANOBOX has been designed as an easy to install enclosure for use in deploying network infrastructure outdoors with protection against moisture and extreme temperatures," said Joe Cook, General Manager of Antaira Technologies. "And because it's all-in-one, the LANOBOX minimizes procurement complexity and total cost of ownership."
The LANOBOX Series includes two models that share the same IP68/NEMA 4X enclosure, integrated 20kA surge protection and a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 75°C (-22°F to 167°F), while targeting different industrial networking requirements.
The LANOBOX-105-T is designed for standard PoE connectivity and features the Antaira FNP-0500G-T unmanaged five-port Gigabit flat switch. The switch provides four PoE+ ports delivering up to 30 watts per port with a total PoE budget of 120 watts, supported by a 200-watt power supply. Antaira said the system is suited for powering edge devices including IP cameras, wireless access points and sensors.
For deployments requiring higher power, the LANOBOX-212-T integrates the managed LMP-1204G-SFP-bt-T 12-port PoE++ switch with a 240-watt PoE budget and a 350-watt power supply. The switch includes four 802.3bt PoE++ ports capable of delivering up to 100 watts per port, four 802.3af/at PoE ports providing up to 30 watts per port and four SFP fiber slots. It also supports network redundancy through Spanning Tree and ERPS and can be configured through a web console, Telnet or CLI command interface.
Antaira said the LANOBOX Series was engineered for demanding outdoor applications including perimeter security and video surveillance, construction site communications, pipeline monitoring, environmental and weather sensing stations, smart irrigation and precision agriculture and intelligent transportation systems.
The integrated 20kA surge suppressor is designed to help protect connected devices from unexpected power surges in open-field environments. The enclosures also support wall mounting and optional pole mounting using the separately sold LANOBOX-PMK kit, giving installers additional flexibility when placing equipment in the field.
The LANOBOX Series is available now through Antaira's website and authorized distributors. Product specifications, guides and ordering information are available from the company.
