Antaira Releases Firmware Update Enabling 100W PoE++ for Solar-Powered Security Trailers

Antaira Technologies has released Version 6.2 firmware for its LMP-1204G-SFP-bt-24-T, a 12-port Gigabit PoE++ managed Ethernet switch, expanding support for high-power IP devices in solar-powered deployments.
With the firmware update, the switch can deliver up to 100W per port when operating within the maximum PoE power budget defined by its input voltage. When powered by 24VDC solar input, the unit supports a total PoE budget of 180W, enabling direct high-wattage PoE++ delivery without external power injectors or voltage conversion.
Mobile solar-powered security trailers have emerged as a growing segment of the physical security market, particularly for construction sites, critical infrastructure and other remote environments. These deployments require industrial-grade networking hardware capable of delivering PoE power to multiple devices while operating exclusively on DC power generated by photovoltaic panels and battery systems.
According to Antaira, the updated switch supports advanced PoE++ devices such as high-wattage PTZ cameras with integrated heaters, AI edge computing units, LED illuminators, radar modules and two-way audio or deterrence systems. The switch operates across an extended temperature range of -40°C to 75°C, positioning it for use in harsh outdoor environments.
The LMP-1204G-SFP-bt-24-T features four 10/100/1000Tx ports supporting IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++), four 10/100/1000Tx ports supporting IEEE 802.3af/at and four 100/1000 dual-rate SFP slots for fiber connectivity. It is DIN-rail or shelf mountable and designed for high EFT and ESD protection.
Antaira also offers network products intended to meet Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) component requirements, with final manufacturing conducted in Las Vegas.
