Ackerman announces Jack O’Brien as Chief Operating Officer

30-year industry veteran is co-chair of the CSAA International Committee

[Atlanta, GA] – October  2015 – Ackerman Security Systems has announced that Jack O’Brien will be joining the company as Chief Operating Officer.

"Jack is an experienced professional who brings many years of leadership in security and life safety operations and he will build on the strong foundation at Ackerman” said Jim Callahan, President/CEO for Ackerman.

Jack has over 30 years experience in the security industry including 12 years with Wells Fargo as a general and regional manager. Jack later joined ADT as general manager of the largest Customer Monitoring Center supporting the greater New York region. He has also held positions as director of the Rollins National Center in Atlanta, acquired by Ameritech in 1997 when he was named Director of one of the largest centers in the U.S. He subsequently joined Siemens as the Director of North American Services designing and building a state-of-the-art international contact center in Dallas, Texas, with backup in Washington D.C. 

Prior to joining Ackerman Security he was the Vice President of Operations at Security Networks for five years before it was acquired by Ascent Media, parent of Monitronics. It was called the deal of the year by SDM Magazine.

He is the co-chair of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) International Committee and the Insurance Industry Liaison Committee.

In addition to his experience in call center operations, Jack attended UMass-Amherst, is a life safety engineer, Six-Sigma qualified and led one of the first alarm monitoring centers to achieve ISO 9002 certification. 

He and his wife, Heidi, will be returning to Atlanta, with their two-year old twins, where they first met when she was writing a magazine article about the new Rollins National Center.
