ESA announces 2017 Leadership Summit dates, location

April 22, 2016
Event to take place Feb. 12-15 in Tampa

Irving, Texas (April 21, 2017) – The coordination has begun for the 2017 ESA Leadership Summit and Tampa, Florida will be welcoming security industry professionals from across the country February 12-15, 2017.

Security professionals will come together for the three-day event to share business intelligence, network, and learn how best to improve not only their own company but the industry as a whole.  With a focus on providing business intelligence to growing companies, the 2017 ESA Leadership Summit will link like-minded professionals and thought leaders in sharing their ideas for the future while leading business evolution with a fresh perspective. Learning opportunities from speakers, hailing from outside of the security industry, will provide new strategies and real-world actionable takeaways for attendees to implement in their businesses.  The overall goal of the Leadership Summit is to challenge dated practices and provide actionable takeaways directly applicable to an organization or business.

Of the 2016 event, Vision Technologies President Rick Stuart says, “There’s been a lot of interaction here with a lot of industry executives which I’ve appreciated, as well as the time spent with vendor sponsors learning more about products. It’s definitely something I’ll be looking to do again.”

ESA encourages security business owners, senior managers and security industry rising leaders to attend as well as chapter leaders, committee members, and association volunteers. The 2016 ESA Leadership Summit took place January 31-Febuary 3 at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in Chandler, Arizona where over 250 individuals were in attendance. Participants took an active role in the interactive sessions, educational seminars, award presentations, the ESA Mentorship Program, speed networking, and other special events. Award announcements at the 2017 Summit will include the Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year, Sara E. Jackson Memorial Award, and multiple leadership awards.

Next year’s venue, the Hilton Tampa Downtown Hotel, offers 520 beautifully decorated guest rooms, 30,000 square feet of meeting space and a recently completed $20 million renovation. It is located in the heart of downtown Tampa, only 15 minutes from the Tampa International Airport, just one mile away from the Florida Aquarium, the Tampa Museum of Art, and a lush surrounding of dining and entertainment.
