Dallas, TX (July 6, 2016) – Monitronics has teamed up with Mission 500 to host the Moni 5K for Children run on August 6, 2016 to support children in need throughout North Texas.  Proceeds from the event will be used to provide weekend food packs for low income children at local Title One schools, as well as support local severe need students in becoming college ready.

“The Moni 5K for Children is a great way to encourage our local community to come together in support of children in need,” said Jeff Gardner, Monitronics’ President and Chief Executive Officer. “Compassion is a cornerstone of our company, and we hope to make the Moni 5K an annual event. We challenge other like-minded organizations across the country to host events that help advance the needs of their local communities.”

American running legend Bill Rodgers, four-time winner of both the Boston and NYC Marathons, will be making a special appearance at the event.
