RAD’s Agentic AI Platform ‘SARA’ Streamlines GSOC Operations at OneWatch
OneWatch, a remote security services provider based in Indianapolis, has transformed its Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) operations by deploying RAD’s SARA (Speaking Autonomous Responsive Agent) RVM platform, an agentic AI solution designed to automate remote video monitoring and augment human operators.
Operational challenges spur AI adoption
Facing rising demand, OneWatch grappled with operator fatigue, staffing shortages and inconsistency in service quality as its surveillance operations expanded, according to a press release. Before SARA, human operators monitored thousands of video feeds and verified alarms, leading to high turnover and performance decline.
OneWatch evaluated and selected SARA for its autonomous detection, voice‑down capabilities and compatibility with existing camera infrastructure. Deployment, including system integration and operator training, took just weeks to transition into active GSOC usage.
From constant surveillance to exception management
With SARA in place, the GSOC shifted from continuous human monitoring to exception‑based operations. The AI now handles video feed monitoring, filters out false alarms, initiates voice‑down interventions and generates incident reports. This allows operators to focus on verified events, manage client communications and review AI‑flagged incidents, thereby reducing cognitive load and improving morale.
In one instance at a construction site, SARA detected a theft in progress. Its voice‑down feature deterred the intruder and triggered alerts to dispatch both OneWatch security personnel and local law enforcement, preventing asset loss. Similarly, at a healthcare campus, SARA identified suspicious activity near a secured area overnight; the platform’s autonomous response led to immediate notifications and swift recovery of staged equipment.
Detailed reporting enhances client relations
SARA also provides detailed after‑action reports, including video evidence, transcripts of voice‑down interventions and time‑stamped logs of AI and human activity. These features enhance transparency and contribute to stronger client communication and satisfaction.
The efficiency gains from SARA have allowed OneWatch to maintain high service standards while scaling its client base. The company is planning broader deployment of the platform and refining AI‑powered monitoring protocols.
CEO Austin Smith advocates for other monitoring centers to act quickly, stating: “Do not wait to evaluate this technology. The benefits to operations, staff and client outcomes are immediate and undeniable”.
As routine tasks become automated, OneWatch intends to evolve operator roles into AI surveillance analysts and command center strategists, emphasizing incident resolution, client relations and strategic oversight.
