HySecurity StrongArm M30 Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Barrier Arm

Sept. 23, 2021
Company to demonstrate vehicle barrier in cooperation with the remote monitoring and management capabilities of HyNet

Kent, WA – September 2021 – GSX 2021 – Booth 441 – HySecurity, a Nice company and global leader in perimeter security solutions, today announced plans to showcase the certified and crash-rated StrongArm® M30 hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) barrier arm at GSX 2021 within the HySecurity booth (#441). Beyond localized control, attendees will also receive a demonstration of the advanced connectivity offered by HyNet™ and learn more about the benefits remote monitoring, management, and operation of gate solutions provides facility managers and security professionals.

In a world of evolving technologies, perimeter security solutions may appear as static, disconnected devices, yet they represent a significant opportunity to savvy security professionals and remain a key component of security infrastructure. “Many elements of gate operation and management can be done more efficiently – or from a remote or centralized location – by adding an ethernet connection to the gate operation board,” said John Allen, senior product manager with HySecurity. “Streamlining the administration of perimeter security access points can be achieved through the deployment of a connected gate operator. This type of installation paves the way for remote access for monitoring, management, and operation of automated gate solutions, which when done in unison, can deliver a smarter, safer, and more secure experience for all.”

At GSX 2021, HySecurity will offer attendees the ability to experience an in-person demonstration of how in-the-field access point administration works and highlight all the benefits of remote monitoring, management and operation to dealers, facility managers, and security professionals. Within the booth (#441), HySecurity will have the crash-rated StrongArm M30 HVM barrier arm live, operational, and integrated directly with the advanced connectivity of HyNet to demonstrate how perimeter security solution can be remotely configured, operated, automatically detect threats, and broadcast status notifications.

“By design, gate operators perform a relatively basic task,” explains Allen. “However, through integrated technology like HyNet, the monitoring, management, and operation of access points can become more efficient and modernized. These enhanced solutions represent a significant opportunity to dealers and installers who can in turn, add value to service contracts as they are now able to identify and solve customer issues before those clients are even aware they have one in the first place.”

In order to achieve UL325 compliance, all commercial gate operators must include sensors protecting entrapment zones. Intelligent gate operators can make use of these required photo eyes and sensors to alert end-users and service technicians of fault conditions, thus enabling remote monitoring. From a management perspective, connected gate operators enable routine setting adjustments from afar, mitigating the need to send a service technician to a job site to access a control board. Lastly, service technicians can perform over-the-air software updates and greatly reduce the need for costly and time-consuming call backs through remote diagnostics.
