Roanwell, United Security Partner on AI-Powered TALON-PTT Communication Device

TALON-PTT device designed to deliver clear voice communication in high-noise operational environments using AI-driven signal processing.
Roanwell Corporation has announced a strategic partnership with United Security Inc. (USI) to introduce TALON-PTT™, an artificial intelligence-powered push-to-talk communication device designed for use in high-noise operational environments.
Developed as the Tactical Audio Link for Operational Noise Filtering, TALON-PTT uses AI-driven signal processing to isolate a speaker’s voice while filtering out background noise. The device is intended to support clear communication in environments where engines, crowds, alarms and other ambient noise can interfere with traditional systems, particularly in security, military, emergency response and industrial settings.
According to the companies, the technology is designed to reduce background noise and communication interference, helping to lower the risk of miscommunication, reduce operator fatigue and limit exposure to harmful noise levels.
Christine A. Gelatt, chairman and chief finance officer of United Security Inc., said TALON-PTT represents a meaningful advancement in practical communication performance and aligns with the company’s expansion into security technology solutions. She added that clearer communication enables teams to act faster, make better decisions and operate with greater confidence, especially in high-risk or high-distraction environments.
The companies see potential applications for the device across multiple sectors, including healthcare, higher education, large event venues, transportation, logistics and security operations.
Matt Steinbroner, owner and operator of Roanwell Corporation, said the device was engineered for demanding environments, noting that it is glove-friendly, waterproof and built to military durability standards while maintaining compatibility with existing radio and headset systems.
TALON-PTT features low-latency AI signal processing of under 20 milliseconds and offers adjustable noise-filtering levels, allowing users to tailor performance based on operational conditions.
Designed for portability and field use, the device measures approximately 2.5 inches wide, 4.25 inches long and 1 inch high. It operates on AAA batteries with up to 72 hours of runtime and integrates through LEMO audio ports, with adapter options available for compatibility with a wide range of communication systems.
