Polaris Broadens Compression Connector Line for Industrial and Data Center Projects

Polaris expanded its Compression Connector portfolio with new copper and aluminum long barrel connector configurations for large-scale electrical applications.
Polaris announced an expansion of its Compression Connector portfolio, adding new options for copper and aluminum long barrel compression connectors designed to support larger-scale applications including data centers, utilities, industrial environments and high-capacity commercial projects.
The company said the expanded product line increases the variety of available compression connector configurations for installers and contractors working with higher amperage and large conductor applications.
“This expansion reinforces Polaris’ commitment to delivering complete, installer-ready compression solutions that support larger applications including data centers, utilities, industrial, and high-capacity commercial projects,” said Nolan Bello, director of product management for Polaris. “Our Compression Connectors are the professional’s choice for reliability and ease of use as they are compatible with more than 35 major crimp tools and come with clearly legible size markings to save installers time.”
Among the additions are expanded L Series and related long barrel copper lug configurations up to 1000 MCM. The expanded lineup includes one-hole and two-hole lugs, options with inspection windows and narrow tang configurations intended for installations with limited space.
Polaris also expanded its AL Series aluminum compression lugs up to 1000 MCM, adding both standard tang configurations and narrow tang options within the AL-N-NT Series.
According to the company, the compression connectors are designed to provide improved performance, simplified installation and enhanced durability. The connectors also feature clear color coding, while aluminum connectors include oxide inhibitor protection. Polaris said the products are UL-listed for use with more than 35 leading crimp tools from major brands.
“Polaris Compression Connectors offer improved performance, simplified installation, clear color coding, enhanced durability, oxide inhibitor on aluminum connectors, and are UL-Listed for more than 35 leading crimp tools from most major brands,” Bello said. “Polaris continues to grow our product offerings so that we will always meet the demand for those markets and industries that require compression coverage for higher amperage and large conductor applications.”
The company said contractors can use the connectors with tools already in place while maintaining UL-listed standards, helping reduce rework and support proper installation on the first attempt.
Additional information and a full list of UL-listed compatible tools are available through the Polaris UL Tools Compatibility Flyer on the company’s website.
