Powered by ARTPEC-9, the AXIS D2123-VE Radar provides reliable 24/7 detection and AI-powered classification of people and vehicles across large areas (270°) while reducing false alarms. When paired with select ARTPEC-9 PTZ cameras, the AXIS D2123-VE Radar enables advanced radar-video fusion technology, combining AI-powered radar analytics with video analytics in the camera to further minimize false alarms.
This multi-layered approach delivers greater efficiency, richer data, and improved decision-making tools for security personnel. Integrators can create tailored scenarios based on prioritized objects and user-defined zones, automatically directing PTZ cameras to the object of interest. With radar-video fusion, double-knock verification is also possible, requiring both radar and video analytics to confirm detection and classification before triggering an event. This significantly reduces false alarms, which is especially important in spaces such as public transit systems, airports, and police stations, where unnecessary alerts can divert attention from genuine threats.
For ease of connectivity and installation, the AXIS D2123-VE Radar uses the same mounting interface as Axis PTZ cameras, making it a simple addition to existing installations. Power over Ethernet (PoE) output eliminates the need for an additional cable drop, and when integrated with a compatible camera via radar pairing, only one IP address is required—thereby avoiding the need for extra Video Management Software (VMS) licenses.
Designed for flexibility, the AXIS D2123-VE is well-suited for a variety of locations, including mobile surveillance trailers or off-grid installations where power resources may be limited. Radar image stabilization ensures accurate images in outdoor deployments such as parking areas, roadways, and perimeter fencing, where weather, vehicles, and external interference can degrade image quality. With unique 270° box-shaped detection and recognition zones, the AXIS D2123-VE Radar supports simplified design and more efficient coverage planning. It is ideal for mounting on sturdy poles or corners and can also trigger automated actions on other devices, such as activating a strobe siren or initiating camera recording.
