The aPat uses passive imaging of millimeter waves to find metallic and non-metallic objects through clothes, including thick jackets or multiple heavy layers. The unit is completely safe and does not use x-ray or microwave radiation. Millimeter waves have wavelengths 1,000 times longer than infrared and accurately show scene temperatures. They are naturally emitted from all objects.
The aPat is easy to use and requires no special training or installation. It is battery operated and it works indoors and outdoors, day and night.
