LOS ANGELES -- Universal Detection Technology, a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that it will be represented at a major international homeland security conference, the 8th Annual Safety and Security Asia Conference, to be held in Singapore, Nov. 9-11, by UDTT's Singapore-based distribution partner, Quantum Automation Pte Ltd.
At the conference, Quantum Automation will highlight the multiple competitive advantages of UDTT's anthrax monitoring product, the BSM-2000, for public and private markets. Universal Detection's proprietary airborne spore detection technology was developed in part by NASA scientists, and licensed exclusively to UDTT.
Universal Detection's sales and marketing strategy includes focus on both domestic and overseas markets with the help of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Service.
"We hope that this exciting Singapore-based conference will boost the visibility of our Company's product line on the global security stage, and present potential new opportunities for business contracts in Asia," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection. Nations around the world are allocating enormous resources to bolstering their public safety and preparedness capabilities, added Mr. Tizabi. Conference organizers say the gathering of industry players, emerging security developers, law enforcement and counterterrorism experts will feature numerous exhibits of some leading homeland security technologies. Also known as the International Asia Homeland Security Exhibition and Conference, the forum is designed to reflect the changes in global security needs, and to detail measures to enhance security and counter-terrorism preparedness, including prevention, protection and consequence management. About 350 exhibitors from over 30 countries are expected to participate.
