NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Claroty, the leader in operational technology (OT) security, has announced the appointment of U.S. Navy Admiral (Ret.) Michael S. Rogers as Chairman of the company’s Board of Advisors, effective immediately.

Admiral Rogers recently retired from the United States Navy after a distinguished 37-year career. In 2014, Rogers was appointed by President Barack Obama as the 17th Director of the National Security Agency and the 2nd Commander of the U.S. Cyber Command, receiving unanimous confirmation from the United States Senate. Most recently, he presided over the activation of the Pentagon’s Cyber Mission Forces and the elevation of the U.S. Cyber Command to unified combatant command status. As Chairman of Claroty’s Board of Advisors, Rogers will lead a distinguished cadre of business and security leaders to provide guidance and counsel to the company and its customers on emerging cybersecurity trends and requirements.

“It’s both humbling and a great source of pride that Admiral Rogers chose to join our mission of protecting industrial networks from the most sophisticated cyber threats,” said Amir Zilberstein, Co-founder and CEO of Claroty. “His combination of operational experience, executive management and leadership in the cybersecurity field is unrivaled, and he will be a tremendous asset to both our team and our customers.”

“Owners of critical infrastructure in the U.S. and abroad face a deluge of sophisticated cyber threats to their operations. Claroty understands these threats better than anyone in the industry and this superior understanding is reflected in the performance and broad adoption of their technology,” noted Admiral Rogers. “I look forward to working with Claroty and their customers on the vitally important mission of protecting our critical infrastructure in our digital and hyperconnected age.”
