AlliedBarton to co-host free seminar on workplace violence prevention

MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwire - May 11, 2012) - AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, and HR Plus, a leading provider of comprehensive solutions for employment and background screening, in partnership with ASIS International, the Shelby County Sheriff's Department and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will host a free workplace violence prevention seminar. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN. Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell will provide opening remarks.

"When we use the term violence we really mean aggression in any form. The scars from constant psychological attacks are no less real than the ones from physical attacks. We must educate our work force at every level, from CEOs to entry level employees, on how to identify workplace violence and the impending signs and provide them with clear instructions on who to tell and how to act when they or a co-worker becomes a victim."
