    VCR Inc.'s VN3M series of Megapixel IP cameras also double as true standalone megapixel recorders, which can be fitted with up to a 750GB hard drive using a single Cat5 cable. Employing the latest in compression technologies, 2032x1536-pixel images can be stored locally on the built-in hard drive in MJPEG format, easy for frame-by-frame object identification, assisted by digital pan/tilt/zoom. Simultaneously, the same video can be streamed over the network for monitoring/recording using H.264 at the same high resolution or lower resolution to reduce network bandwidth requirements.
