Contract could add up to 3,500 installing technicians to ADT fold

180 Connect, an installing company headquartered in Woodsbury, N.Y., specializing in providing home entertainment and communications services in the residential market, has signed on to become an authorized ADT installer.

180 Connect has expanded itself to become a full-service provider of a variety of home services, whether it is phone connections, cable/video connections, or even high-speed Internet connections. Now it seems, the company is adding security to the mix as an ADT installer of residential and small commercial security services.

ADT and 180 Connect recently attempted a four-city pilot program in four cities, a process that 180 Connect's President Peter Giacalone called a success.

The company has some 3,500 technicians and 900 support personnel working between 80 offices in the U.S. and Canada, but primarily on the East coast and the West coasts of the U.S.

According to a statement from the company, 180 Connect is currently working in five U.S. markets where ADT is also established.
