GE expands capabilities of Phoenix system, new A8911ETH allows three Ethernet inputs per module be inserted on to Phoenix Network

Bradenton, FL. — GE Security, has introduced a new module designed to further expand the capabilities of the Phoenix fiber optic transport system.

The new Phoenix A8911ETH Ethernet Module provides Ethernet connectivity to the Phoenix Fiber Transport System. These modules are ideal for transporting IP-data and IP-video traffic between Phoenix nodes. The Ethernet module has three RJ-45 ports designed to insert or extract full-duplex 10/100BASE-T Ethernet data onto the Phoenix network. The A8911ETH module allows for Auto-Negotiation and automatic MDI/MDI-X selection. The module's integrated Ethernet switch features line-rate switching between the three ports and 50Mbps throughput between Phoenix nodes. When used with a Phoenix system configured in a Self-Healing Ring the module provides link redundancy with millisecond fail-over times.

Like all GE Security products, it is backed by an exclusive 5-Year product warranty. More information is online at www.ge-security.com.
