New NVRs from Panasonic offer intuitive functionality

Panasonic's WJ-NV200 and WJ-ND400 (pictured) network video recorders (NVRs) provide complete and intuitive functionality with a level of reliability and stability not offered by PC-based recorders. For small to mid-sized businesses, the WJ-NV200 NVR with removable 120GB hard drive provides unsurpassed security in a space-saving design (only 11 inches wide).

Capable of monitoring nine to 16 cameras, the NVR delivers embedded real-time face matching with no external software required. The WJ-NVF20 Advanced Intelligence Expansion Kit also enables age and gender estimations, duration of visits, visitor counting and other functions. For larger applications, the WJ-ND400 NVR with removable 1TB hard disk drive can record up to 64 network cameras simultaneously with multi-format recording in MPEG-4 and JPEG, delivering performance on par with today’s high-resolution IP cameras – with no per-camera license fees.

With built-in motion detection and filtered search, the WJ-ND400 offers 2x and 4x digital zoom on live or recorded video, quick IP setup for Panasonic i-PRO network cameras, plus Panasonic cameras control for pan/tilt, zoom, focus, brightness, preset position and auto mode (depending on camera model). Up to nine hot-plug hard disk drives (HDDs) enable more storage with expansion units, and the system is expandable to 54 HDD slots.
