Visual Defence awarded C$2.4 million in transit contracts

Company to provide surveillance solutions for Montreal Transit Corporation, Norwegian State Railway

The Canadian security company Visual Defence announced Monday that it had landed two separate contracts totaling C$2.4 million.

The Montreal Transit Corporation will pay the company C$870,000 to integrate video analytics with their existing video surveillance system.

The other contract awarded to Visual Defence was from Norwegian State Railway for C$1.5 million to outfit 200 of their three-carriage trains with a mobile surveillance and recording solution.

Both projects are expected to commence this month, according to a statement issued by the company.
