Comm Port Technologies reports UVSS technology at Disney, DOC prisons, naval shipyard

Comm Port Technologies, a New Jersey company that makes under vehicle surveillance systems (UVSS) for point of entry inspections reports to SecurityInfoWatch.com that UVSS systems have seen a surge of interest at facilities ranging from corporate facilities to government penal institutions.

Comm Port noted that its UVSS had been chosen for the Disney Corporation at specific company gates. In an entirely different environment, the Department of Corrections (DOC) prison system has also selected Comm Port’s technology, choosing the company’s model 6L, which is a new design. DOC Director Devon Brown has reportedly recommended the UVSS technology to become standard equipment at sally ports of DOC facilities.

The company also noted that under vehicle surveillance will be employed at the New Port News Naval Shipyards, a facility of Northrop Grumman. The UVSS technology will be used at shipyard entrances as part of that shipyard’s security upgrades.
