FLIR acquires Ifara Technologies

Thermal imaging company to incorporate Ifara’s solutions into its products

FLIR systems, a Portland,Ore., based manufacturer of thermal imaging and stabilized camera systems, recently announced its purchase of Ifara Technologies stock for ₤7 million.

The acquisition of Ifara, a provider of software used to create sensor networks, will allow FLIR to offer its customers the capability to integrate a wide variety of sensors required for their projects, the company said in a prepared statement.

Also in the statement, FLIR said it "anticipated" that Ifara’s Nexus turnkey solution will become a standard feature in many of its products within the commercial vision and government systems divisions.
