Camect, 3Si Partner to Share Video Intelligence With Public Safety Agencies

Camect announced a technology partnership with 3Si Security Systems on Oct. 27 to help public safety agencies receive and act on incident information from private-sector security cameras.

3Si provides security technology to public safety agencies and private-sector organizations. It has relationships with more than 10,400 law enforcement agencies and delivers crime intelligence to police dispatch to help prioritize incidents and guide response. Its products include covert GPS tracking, video management technology and the DirectToDispatch platform.

The integration combines that dispatch connection with Camect’s software, which analyzes video from existing security cameras to identify relevant activity, reduce unnecessary alerts and provide visual context in real time.

“This integration with 3Si empowers our dealers and the communities they serve to maintain control of their video data while securely sharing relevant information with the people who need it most: our first responders,” said Ron Grubbs, vice president of sales business development at Camect. “3Si has been a trusted partner in public safety for decades, and we are incredibly proud to work alongside them to help strengthen community safety and support those on the front lines.”

Based in Mountain View, California, Camect designs its software to work across camera brands and support professional monitoring, real-time crime centers and emergency communications centers.
