FLIR Systems wins $12.8m contract in Saudi Arabia

Saudis place order for Recon III handheld infrared camera system

FLIR Systems, Inc. announced that it has received a $12.8 million order from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its advanced RECON III hand-held infrared camera system, MarketWatch reported. The units delivered under this competitive award will be used for long-range surveillance and security missions. Work on this order will be performed at FLIR's facility in North Billerica, MA and deliveries are expected to be completed within the next twelve months. This order, which includes local support facilities, expands upon the long-standing relationship between FLIR Systems and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and demonstrates the outstanding performance of our products in demanding operating conditions, said the President and CEO of FLIR Systems, Inc.
