DVR to enhance monitoring capabilities

Clovis, Calif. - Meticulous security monitoring is the ultimate responsibility of security professionals and the Pelco DX8100 Version 1.2 Series DVR allows them to fulfill their responsibilities with ease. Product enhancements released in version 1.2 software guarantee the DX8100 will continue as the long-standing choice among security professionals, due to its many exciting new capabilities.

The DX8100 software provides users with a Server Dual-Display, allowing users to view up to 72 cameras at the server. The latest enhancement makes the DX8100 capable of simultaneous DVR administration, command and control surveillance, and PublicView monitoring.

Server Health Check Monitoring provides DX8100 administrators with peace of mind by delivering alerts at the server and remote clients if ever the DVR is running outside optimal environmental and performance thresholds.

Version 1.2 enhancements also have expanded the ATM/POS recording capabilities and now allow for up to 16 devices per location, making the DX8100 the perfect solution for any medium-to-large business that requires recorded text overlays for their security video.

"Demand for dual-display applications has grown, and the DX8100’s unique Dual-Display allows dealers to provide a valuable security application with the benefit and clarity of new, large VGA displays,"says Yvonne Schwemmer, Pelco Product Marketing Manager. "I am very pleased with this offering and the latest enhancements make this the perfect fit for professional security applications."

On seeing the new capabilities of Version 1.2 at ISC West in April, Steve Goodman, Communications Center Supervisor at Brigham Young University, stated, "We are big DX8000/8100 fans. We’re very enthused about the new features of the product, particularly Server Dual Display. We already have plans in place to implement this feature immediately."
