March Networks to provide IP-based digital video surveillance at distribution centers and retail outlets

OTTAWA - March Networks, a leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based digital video surveillance solutions, announced today that DHL Mexico has selected March Networks as the standard for digital video surveillance throughout its distribution centers and retail outlets.

Through four main hubs DHL Mexico handles greater than 13 million packages per year, has more than 1800 couriers, and operates approximately 1400 vehicles. They will deploy the March Networks digital video solution at more than 100 DHL distribution centers and retail outlets throughout the country.

The presence of advanced digital video will assist DHL Mexico in tracking lost and damaged packages within its distribution centers, and fighting narcotics trafficking and robberies within its retail stores. The surveillance system will also serve as a way of improving business operations and productivity.

"The digital video offering from March Networks will have an immediate impact on our ability to fight crime and improve service throughout our operations," said Sergio Barquet, Security Director, DHL Mexico. "The ease of use and high quality of the March Networks advanced technology was exactly what DHL Mexico required to make our video surveillance deployment successful."

"We are very pleased to be expanding our global presence in the commercial/industrial sector with such a world-class organization as DHL Mexico," said Peter Strom, President and CEO of March Networks.
