GUI Controller Software Enhances Performance of Panasonic Matrix 650
Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2007) – Panasonic Security Systems, a leader in professional video surveillance and security systems for 50 years, is displaying an innovative Graphical User Interface (GUI) software solution specifically designed for the company’s field-proven Matrix System 650. The new PFW900 GUI Controller Software allows system operators to simultaneously view up to four video streams on one display, with site map and controls on a second dedicated display. This provides an easy and efficient way to monitor and control complex systems while harnessing the power of Panasonic’s Matrix System 650.

Panasonic’s Matrix System 650 accommodates up to 256 cameras with 32 outputs and is expandable to 512 cameras with 64 outputs. The unit supports up to 1,024 alarm inputs and up to 64 alarm outputs, plus has output support for up to 32 monitors, connection of up to 16 DVRs and support for as many as 16 controllers. The scalability of the system is complemented with extensive programmability to satisfy the most demanding video surveillance applications.
The new PFW900 GUI Controller Software further enhances the versatility of the Matrix System 650 by allowing system operators to simultaneously view real-time video and site maps on dedicated displays. The site map control screen includes three-stage dynamic icons for camera and alarm locations that change as their status changes, and facilitates full matrix system control, full PTZ camera control and voice activated control.
