Allied Defense Group Unit Selected to Install Traffic Monitoring in Luxemburg
The Allied Defense Group, Inc. has announced that its Belgian security unit, The VSK Group, has been selected to install highway traffic monitoring cameras in Luxemburg, as well as a totally integrated security system in a prestigious office complex in Warsaw, Poland. The two installations total approximately $1.6 million.
The Luxemburg additions will cover a northern portion of the Luxemburg highway network, and include automatic incident detection cameras. Images from these cameras are transmitted through fiber optic cables and an Internet Protocol (IP) network, which are connected to a central monitoring room. This very efficient traffic monitoring system ensures safety and rapid flow to the Luxemburg road and tunnel network.
Additionally, The VSK Group's Polish dealer, DYSKRET Ltd., is installing VSK's Total Integrated Security System in the RONDO1 Towers in Warsaw.
RONDO1 is a 40-floor skyscraper with 800,000 square feet of office space, an adjacent ten-story building with 40,000 square feet of commercial and services space, and an underground garage with over 500 parking spaces, located in Warsaw's financial district. In all, the complex will offer over one million square feet of gross floor space. This very prestigious building will be an excellent showcase for VSK's security solutions.
Mr. Andrzej Jachimczak, Managing Director of DYSKRET, said, "The VSK Integrated Security Systems perfectly meets the stringent security requirements for this type of building and truly integrates access control, intruder detection and digital video. The technology used allows unlimited future expansion and guarantees the highest flexibility for the ever-changing needs."
In September 2004, The VSK Group received "Class S" certification from TeChom, the Polish National Institute for product certification, for VSK's integrated security system. The stringent test evaluation pertains to all security functions such as intrusion detection, access control, video integration and system management software. VSK was awarded high marks on all counts.
Major General (Ret.) John G. Meyer, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and President of the Allied Defense Group, said, "We are very pleased with these latest installations by The VSK Group. Digital video technology and image recognition capabilities are a high growth niche market. The specific expertise developed within The VSK Group is finding more and more profitable applications. The certification of VSK's systems last year was a great achievement and it has clearly started to pay dividends. We are proud of this accomplishment and anticipate receiving additional orders for similar installations in the near future."
