Toshiba IK-WD14A HD dome camera and SCS software approved for use with Intransa physical security server and storage infrastructure

IRVINE, CA, March 20, 2012 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., and Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company, announced that the Toshiba IK-WD14A video surveillance camera and the company's SCS™ Video Management System (VMS) software are SELECT certified for use with Intransa's optimized physical security server and storage infrastructure platforms.

The IK-WD14A dome camera was the first Toshiba model to feature full HD 1080p resolution for securing areas where the sharpest video detail is required, such as the identifying of facial features or license plates. The camera offers built-in SR IR LEDs to assist image capture in near complete darkness, along with a wide dynamic range for challenging back lighting environments. Designed to optimize image quality and provide maximum network efficiency, the IK-WD14A offers simultaneous H.264/MPEG4/JPEG streaming for automatic bandwidth prioritization, enabling seamless full frame (1920 x 1080) video at up to 30 frames-per-second for both live viewing and recording. Imaging performance is further enhanced by the camera's one-touch 3x optical zoom, remote focus, and broad angle pan and tilt.

"We are pleased to have not one, but two products, SELECT certified with Intransa," said Sergio Collazo, Director - Sales & Marketing, Toshiba. "Being preloaded for use on Intransa's platforms provides customers with additional choice when they are looking for a combination of VMS software, cameras and a security and storage infrastructure that is designed and built for video surveillance."

"With the certification of Toshiba's high definition cameras and VMS software Intransa is extending the most prominent trend in the IP space and optimizing it for use with our server and storage infrastructure platform," said Alex Doorduyn, Director, Product Management, Intransa.
