ATLANTA, Jul 10, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Vumii Imaging, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of innovative high-quality thermal and near-infrared illumination cameras, announced that its unique Claritii day/night outdoor perimeter cameras are now integrated with the NextivaS1800e encoders and Nextiva Video Management software from Verint Systems.
Developed specifically for critical infrastructure organizations that require enhanced visibility leveraging their current infrastructure, this integration adds greater coverage with 500 meter zero light video identification capabilities within the Nextiva portfolio. In addition, Vumii's Claritii cameras are now easily controllable within the Nextiva Video Management software platform, enabling pan, tilt or zoom camera direction.
"Verint is committed to providing innovative security solutions and is pleased to be leveraging Vumii's specialized LED illuminated cameras to help our joint customers meet their dynamic and ever-changing security requirements," said Debjit Das, vice president of global marketing, Verint Video Intelligence Solutions.
Using Vumii's focused-beam array LED technology combined with an optimized imager, optics and pan-tilt platform, Claritii systems provide high zoom magnification, natural contrasts and long-range surveillance in daylight (2,000+ meters) or zero light (500+ meters). Claritii's ability to deliver highly detailed imaging, night or day, allows security personnel to identify potential threats, legally prosecute criminals, dramatically extend perimeter surveillance, and reduce the number of cameras necessary for around-the-clock security.
"With zero light imaging made possible through long-range LED illumination, the integration of Claritii with Verint's Nextiva portfolio offers organizations a means to see clearly at night and rapidly respond to potential threats with the appropriate actions," said Randall Foster, CEO, Vumii. "Unlike thermal cameras, Vumii's Claritii camera system provides natural contrast video, the ability to discern faces and text, and high magnification continuous zoom optics in complete darkness for complete flexibility and user friendliness."
