Newton, MA – February 8, 2012 – Industrial Video and Control (IVC) announced today the availability of Longwatch 5.4 camera management software. This latest version of Longwatch offers customers a significantly enhanced video interface experience via a graphics engine enabling the display of static, real-time OPC data, and graphics embedded on the video image. Your process data can now become part of the video you are monitoring. Version 5.4 also incorporates an enriched video file format with improved performance for reliability and on-the-fly video extraction for safekeeping of important video.
Along with improvements on the video side, Longwatch 5.4 includes advanced support for video transfer over high latency networks. "UDP push" technology significantly improves live streaming performance and bandwidth management across large networks.
