Enhanced Pilot v.6.0 VMS

April 3, 2014
Monitors up to 500 sensor points on a single hardware server

Las Vegas, NV (April 2, 2014) – American Fibertek Inc. (afi) is launching an updated version of its powerful Pilot Video/Event Management Software (VMS) at ISC West (Booth # 10072). The enhanced Pilot v.6.0 delivers the highest levels of user convenience, system functionality and intelligent capabilities enabling complete system solutions to meet market demands. New for 2014 is the capability to monitor up to 500 sensor points on a single hardware server.

“Increasing the sensor monitoring capacity of our Pilot VMS provides the additional functionality required to further integrate video surveillance with PISM and access control systems onto a single control platform,” said Jack Fernandes, pPresident and CEO of afi. “This new functionality further sets Pilot V.6.0 apart from other VMS on the market, and serves as another example of the advanced benefits the V’nes IP network infrastructure delivers specifically for professional security applications.”

Pilot v.6.0 VMS is a component of afi’s V’nes software suite, the industry's only comprehensive video/event surveillance network solution that delivers control, management and transmission capabilities in fully customizable and scalable user-specified configurations. Added compatibility features of Pilot v.6.0 include full integration with GE alarm and access control panels; complete integration with Lenel access control systems; integration of license plate recognition (LPR) cameras; and full integration of Samsung’s network cameras and DVR solutions.

The Pilot site tree and floor plan graphic include exact positioning of PTZ cameras with highly interactive status icons with added GPS information to provide precise positioning data. Retrieval of remote recordings from a Pilot Server is also possible over a low bandwidth connection in a server to server application.

Pilot v.6.0 allows all afi IP hardware to monitor and communicate over an existing VMS system.  Running in the background, it will provide an interactive intelligent platform to control edge devices, monitor key environmentals including power, temperature, humidity and airflow, plus allow for programmed decisions to be made in a totally automated environment.
