Hakimo Rolls Out AI-Driven Video Forensic Search to Speed Security Investigations
Hakimo has introduced a new capability called Forensic Search aimed at helping security teams sift through hours or even days of recorded camera footage in seconds, the company announced.
The feature uses natural language search so users can type simple descriptions such as “person in a red shirt,” “person opening car door” or “red car in parking lot” and get back relevant video clips almost instantly. It also offers filters for camera, location and time range to narrow results for faster, more precise investigations.
Security teams traditionally spend extensive time manually scanning video after an incident, a process Hakimo said its new capability is designed to eliminate by combining computer vision, event detection and semantic search. According to the company, the technology helps teams uncover evidence faster, reduce investigation times and improve outcomes.
Sam Joseph, Co-Founder and CEO of Hakimo, said security teams should not have to spend hours poring over footage just to find one key moment. He characterized Forensic Search as turning video into a searchable intelligence layer so teams can go “from incident to insight in seconds” and focus on prevention rather than playback.
The tool is said to be built to support property managers, auto dealerships, security teams and law enforcement by enabling faster investigations, greater accountability and stronger safety operations.
The launch is part of Hakimo’s broader push to modernize physical security through an AI-powered monitoring platform that can work with existing cameras and sensors and offer an optional human-in-the-loop service.
