Omnitron Systems Launches FlexSwitch 10GRPoE/Sx 24-Port Ethernet and PoE Switches

Omnitron FlexSwitch 10GRPoE/Sx 24-port Ethernet and PoE switch featuring dual 10G uplinks and full-power PoE support for edge devices and surveillance systems.
Omnitron Systems, a manufacturer of network access products, has announced the release of its new 24-port Ethernet and Power over Ethernet switches under the FlexSwitch 10GRPoE/Sx lineup.
The FlexSwitch 10GRPoE/Sx models are unmanaged Layer 2 switches featuring dual 10 Gigabit uplink ports and 24 10/100/1000 RJ-45 PoE ports delivering up to 30 watts per port. The switches are designed to supply a full 30 watts of power simultaneously across all RJ-45 user ports, supporting IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, surveillance systems and other PoE-powered devices.
The platform allows users to select either SFP fiber uplink ports supporting 1G or 10G SFP and SFP+ transceivers or RJ-45 uplink ports supporting multigigabit data rates ranging from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps. Dual uplink ports enable redundant fiber or copper links for protection and restoration in critical applications, as well as daisy-chaining multiple switches.
Advanced features include a PoE power reset function for remote power cycling, Dual Device Mode that allows operation as two logically separate switches for network isolation and Directed Switch Mode designed to prevent port flooding from multicast video traffic.
“With the explosion of high-draw edge devices like Wi-Fi 7 access points and motorized pan-tilt-zoom security cameras, standard power budgets no longer cut it. By delivering a true, uncompromised 30 Watts of PoE+ power across all 24 ports simultaneously, our new rack-mount switch eliminates the hidden bottleneck of power rationing. We are giving network architects the ultimate peace of mind: the freedom to plug any device into any port, at any time, without ever hitting a power ceiling,” said Sankar Ramachandran, VP Engineering and Product Management. He added that the product includes a dynamic visual PoE power usage LED bar indicator on the front panel, providing real-time visibility into total PoE capacity usage.
Omnitron Systems also offers additional configurations including a 16 PoE+ port model with 8 Ethernet data ports and a 24 Ethernet data-only version. All models support either built-in AC or DC power input.
The FlexSwitch line is manufactured in the United States in Irvine, California and is TAA, BAA and NDAA compliant. The switches are available in three temperature ranges including commercial, wide and extended operating environments.
