Lisa has significant experience leading healthcare security, police, safety, and emergency management programs. She currently serves as Senior Security Consultant with Vizient, Inc. Before joining Vizient, she served as Chief Development Officer for Vistelar Conflict Management Training and Vice President of Healthcare for Allied Universal®. After beginning her career as a police officer with the Raleigh Police Department, Lisa served as the Chief of Campus Police and Public Safety with WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC. She also served as Chief of Police and Public Safety with Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and Director of Hospital Police and Transportation at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. 

Lisa’s professional certifications include Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Professional (CPD). 

She shares her knowledge, strategies, and lessons learned for successfully mitigating violence in her books: Preventing Violence in the Emergency Department” and “The Active Shooter Response Toolkit for Healthcare Workers.

Wilkins, PSP® is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, a Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor®, an NRA Range Safety Officer, a licensed Firearms Instructor for the State of Maryland, a certified Rescue Task Force Operator in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC/RTF), a certified ICS-339 Division Group Supervisor, and holds both the NFPA 3000 Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response Program Specialist Certificate and the IAHSS Advanced Training Certificate.

Mr. Wilkins is a graduate of Salisbury University, an ATI certified ALICE instructor and Solo Engagement Operator, an active member of the USCG AUX, a Stop The Bleed® Instructor, a certified NREMT – EMR, and a TEEX Avoid Deny Defend® Trainer. He also holds a TEEX certificate for Infrastructure Protection and certificates through CISA / FEMA for IED Awareness and Safety Procedures and through the National Center for CAMPUS PUBLIC SAFETY for the Physical Security Education Program.
