Allegion US has launched Allegion Optimize™, a mobile application made to unify and streamline the management of select Allegion products through a single tool. The release coincides with a firmware update for the LCN Senior Swing Series Auto Operator, making it the first Allegion device to use Optimize.
The app allows installers and facility teams to calibrate, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot the LCN Senior Swing through a Bluetooth connection. Optimize is designed to provide a unified experience for device commissioning, diagnostics and firmware updates while giving facility teams greater insight into device data and controls.
“Between 2018 and 2033, it’s predicted that up to 50 percent of the facility management workforce will retire,” said Emily Zentz, Allegion product manager, automatic operators. “As new facilities professionals step into the industry, it’s imperative that technology advances in line with their growing expectations. The Optimize app answers that call, positioning Allegion’s line of auto operators with a modern experience.”
Simplified LCN Senior Swing Management
With the LCN Senior Swing, Optimize provides in-app calibration, diagnostic tools, firmware updates and data management. After installation, an installer can run the calibration cycle through the app while remaining on the ground and observing the door to determine whether additional adjustments are needed.
Users can also fine-tune settings without removing the Senior Swing cover or climbing a ladder. For troubleshooting, the app provides details about error codes and notifications so users can review and act on the information before contacting technical support.
Future Connected Device Support
Allegion designed Optimize as a unified device management application for the commissioning, configuration and ongoing maintenance of future connected devices across multiple product categories. The company plans to announce support for additional auto operators and electronic locks later this year.
Allegion Optimize is currently available through the Apple App Store and Google Play store for use with LCN auto operators.
