Ford is moving the majority of vehicle platforms to a global key design over the next several years. The first vehicle to feature the side mill key design is the 2011 Fiesta. STRATTEC also has ignition and door repair kits available. The 2012 Focus comes equipped with a side mill 4 button IKT key. The button configuration and functionality are the same as the current IKT keys. The blade is the side mill technology. Look for the introduction of ignition and door repair kits in the near future. The newly designed 2012 Escape will have a side mill 3 button IKT key. Look for this new key from STRATTEC later this year.
