PDK Debuts Red Reader V2 Access Control Reader Line
ProdataKey’s Red Reader V2 access control readers are available in four form factors including new mullion keypad configurations.
ProdataKey has introduced the Red Reader V2, expanding the company’s lineup of Red high-security hardware with updated processing capabilities, enhanced functionality, and new installation features.
The Red Reader V2 builds on PDK’s traditional Red Reader platform with faster processing, improved reading functionality, and a redesigned body and chassis intended to simplify installation. The new readers are compatible with the company’s full range of credentials including High Security, Prox, Bluetooth, PIN, and Mobile credentials.
The reader lineup is available in four form factors: mullion, mullion with keypad, single gang, and single gang with keypad. According to the company, the mullion with keypad configuration marks the first offering of its kind in ProdataKey’s portfolio of high-security readers.
PDK said the mullion keypad reader is designed for installations across multiple industries, offering versatility and reliable performance within a compact form factor.
“Our goal with the Red Reader V2 was to build on a proven product and make it even more powerful, flexible, and installer-friendly,” said Brach Bengtzen, vice president of marketing at ProdataKey. “This release reflects our commitment to innovation and to providing our partners with tools that simplify installation while elevating security standards.”
The Red Reader V2 was designed to balance security and convenience with enhanced encryption protocols and advanced authentication options aimed at modern access control environments. ProdataKey said the reader is suited for deployments in commercial offices, multi-family properties, enterprise facilities, and other applications.
The reader also integrates with the company’s cloud-based access control platform, PDK.io, to provide seamless connectivity and performance across supported environments.
