Parabit Advances Egress Control With Radar-Based REX Technology
GSX booth 3541: Parabit’s Ceiling/Transom REX Switch uses high-frequency radar to provide directional detection and contactless egress control for high-security doorway applications.
Parabit has introduced its Ceiling/Transom REX Switch, a radar-based solution designed to enhance doorway security and provide precise egress control in high-security environments.
The high-frequency radar device is designed to provide directional detection accuracy and digital programmable functionality compared with standard passive-infrared sensors. The system monitors the direction and mass of traffic flow exiting a doorway to identify movement associated with door release.
According to Parabit, the solution is designed to mitigate exterior vulnerabilities, mechanisms and tampering that can affect traditional sensors. The contactless REX operation is intended to minimize unwanted penetration events while providing reliable egress control.
The REX Switch can be mounted on either a ceiling or transom, providing installation flexibility for doorway applications. Parabit positions the solution as an advanced alternative to traditional sensors for environments requiring enhanced security and controlled egress.
