Bogen Expands Nyquist Platform With Advanced Audio and Visual Communication Devices

Bogen Communications LLC presented a series of new Nyquist communication peripherals at ISC West 2026, showcasing solutions designed to support safety, coordination and situational awareness across large facilities.

“At ISC West, we’re demonstrating how modern communication systems can play a critical role in safety and security strategies,” said Randall Lee, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Bogen Communications LLC. “Our newly-introduced Nyquist peripherals expand how organizations deliver alerts, coordinate responses and maintain situational awareness across large campuses and facilities, combining reliable audio, visual messaging and user interaction in a unified platform.”

Among the products demonstrated was the Nyquist Zone Paging Microphone Station (NQ-ZPMS-G2), developed for high-zone-count paging environments such as schools, transportation hubs and large facilities. The station features a 10-inch color touchscreen and 116 programmable one-touch DSS keys, enabling users to access paging zones, announcements, audio distributions, routines, tones and bell schedules from a single interface. It also includes a flexible gooseneck microphone and HD audio powered by the G.722 wideband codec to support clear communication in both routine and emergency scenarios.

Bogen also showcased the Nyquist VoIP Double-Sided LED Message Display and Flasher (NQ-DSC01), an indoor device designed for wall or ceiling installation. The system combines a dual-sided multi-color LED display, integrated flasher and dual loudspeakers to deliver alerts and informational messages in high-traffic or noisy environments such as corridors and transportation terminals. The display supports Nyquist-generated text in single- or dual-line formats with static or scrolling modes, along with character-level color customization to help prioritize notifications. When paired with optional call switch accessories, the device can initiate SIP calls to other Nyquist endpoints or compatible third-party SIP devices, enabling two-way communication during assistance requests or incident response situations.

Another product highlighted was the Nyquist Digital Remote Volume-Control Call Switch (NQ-VCTRL), which provides localized control over audio communications in classrooms, offices and operational spaces. Designed as a single-gang wall-mounted unit, the device allows users to adjust volume, mute audio, place calls or trigger emergency notifications through a multifunction push-button knob. A nine-LED clock-style layout and full-spectrum status ring provide visual feedback on volume levels, call status and system responses.

Rounding out the lineup, Bogen featured the Nyquist VoIP Indoor/Outdoor IP Horn with Talkback (NQ-IPHRN01), a commercial-grade device built for both indoor and outdoor environments including campuses, parking areas and industrial sites. The horn delivers HD audio with integrated amplification and supports two-way communication between field locations and centralized control points. It connects via Cat5 to a PoE or PoE+ network and is configured through the Nyquist web interface to support deployment within IP-based communication systems.
