Wholesale distributor sets eyes on European security and low voltage market with plans for expansions with 25 offices in 11 countries

Wholesale security and low voltage products distributor ADI, based out of Melville, N.Y., has announced the company's intentions to expand their business into the European marketplace.

The company has described the expansion, which will begin in the first quarter of 2005, as a replication of sorts.

"ADI can be successful in Europe for all of the same reasons it has been a success in North America -- convenience, great product selection and outstanding service," said Tom Polson in a prepared statement.

ADI announced that as the expansion begins, the company will be opening a total of 25 offices in 10 European countries, including the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovak Republic, Spain, United Kingdom, and plans for seven offices in South Africa. Spain will received five offices, Italy will see four, and Poland will have two offices.

At the same time, ADI also announced that Michael Fink was chosen to serve as the managing director for the ADI operations in Europe. He will based out of Amsterdam. Flink was formerly V.P. of marketing and operations for ADI's North American division.
