Alarm Detection Systems acquires Norshore Alarm Company

    Acquisition to help expand company’s footprint in northern Illinois

    Aurora, Ill.-based Alarm Detection Systems, Inc. announced last week that it has acquired Norshore Alarm Company, Inc., a Libertyville, Ill.-based provider of residential and commercial security systems.

    According to a statement, the acquisition will allow Alarm Detection Systems to expand its footprint in northern Illinois.

    The company said that Norshore owner Ken Hohs will be "an integral part of the transition" and that they intend to maintain Norshore’s existing office in Libertyville to support sales and growth throughout the region.

    "We are pleased to add the expertise and value that Norshore represents to our own 44 year history of quality operations," said Bob Bonifas, founder and CEO of Alarm Detection Systems.
