June 19, 2012
SentryNet's dealer conference celebrates 25 years and a new monitoring center in Memphis, Tenn.

This year’s annual SentryNet Dealer Conference was held in conjunction with SentryNet’s 25th anniversary and the grand opening of their new state-of-the-art monitoring center in Memphis, Tenn. Over 200 dealers, vendors and employees participated in the three-day event spotlighting the new building.

The program this year focused on business development. Expert speakers talked to business owners and managers about key subjects including: Monitoring and Service Contracts; False Alarm Reduction; Industry Trends and Transitions; and Marketing Fundamentals in Today’s World.

SentryNet’s David Avritt, company president said that the industry continues to develop around ground-breaking technology. “Our dealers need to know how to grow their business in this exciting world of emerging technology. We tried to plan our program around successful business models in today’s marketplace and the attendance this year highlights the interest of our dealers in these topics.”

Michael Joseph, vice president, Operations, added: “We didn’t stop there. Vendors featuring new alarm and home integration products, new communication technologies, training programs, lead generation programs, video monitoring technology and equipment distribution companies helped by sponsoring parts of the event and having display booths set up for the entire conference. This is not just a trade show; our vendors and employees were together in class and on Beale Street with our dealers for all the festivities and this is the real benefit of the conference.”

SentryNet’s vice president, Ikie Lloyd transitioned herself and many of the staff from Greenville, Miss., to Memphis. She has been focusing on staffing up the new facility while maintaining the quality level of service that dealers have come to expect. “We have met the challenges of moving families to a new city, hiring new employees and adapting to new technologies with all the dedication and drive to provide excellent service that our dealers expect. I am proud of the way our veteran folks have stepped up and our new employees have progressed.”
