RapidFire Safety & Security Acquires Black Fire & Security Services
RapidFire Safety & Security has acquired Black Fire & Security Services, an El Paso, Texas-based provider of fire protection, electronic security and life safety solutions.
The acquisition expands RapidFire’s presence in West Texas and adds Black’s fire extinguisher inspection and kitchen exhaust hood cleaning services to RapidFire’s capabilities. Black also provides fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access control and monitoring services.
Black has served commercial customers since 2020, providing life safety and security services designed to protect people, property and operations. The company also offers recurring inspection, compliance and training services.
RapidFire said Black customers will continue to receive local support while gaining access to additional resources and expertise through the acquisition.
“We are pleased to welcome Black Fire & Security in El Paso to the RapidFire family,” said Brian Modglin, chief operating officer of RapidFire Safety & Security. “This acquisition strengthens our presence in the Southwest and supports our continued growth as a leading provider of fire, life safety and security solutions.”
Modglin said RapidFire intends to provide additional resources and operational support to Black and its customers in the region.
Rick Black, owner of Black Fire & Security, said joining RapidFire aligned with the company’s long-term plans and could create additional opportunities for its employees and customers.
“Throughout this process, we were impressed by RapidFire's commitment to its people, service excellence and customer relationships,” Black said.
Black said he and Daniela are confident the partnership will provide customers with additional resources and support while maintaining the service they have received from the company.
RapidFire provides commercial fire protection, life safety and electronic security services across the Midwest, Southwest and Western United States. The company is led by founder Mike McLeod and co-founder Colin Harrold and is backed by Concentric Equity Partners.
