Toyota Plans $250 Million Expansion in Alabama

Expansion at Huntsville plant will double size of the plant

Toyota has broken ground on a major expansion at its plan in Huntsville, Ala. The plant, which produces the auto company's V-8 engines used in the Tundra and the Sequoia, will double its size, from approximately 440,000 square feet to 700,000-plus square feet, at a cost of about $250 million.

The expansion will be completed in late 2006.
