WABASH, IN — The new OmniShred from intimus is a versatile solution for a wide variety of data destruction requirements. These commercial grade, continuous-duty units feature a rugged cutting head, powerful motor, and chain drive system to handle high volumes of paper – up to 33 sheets per pass – as well as other multimedia devices including CDs/DVDs, USB Thumb Drives, Credit Cards/ID Badges, and even small plastic bottles.
To accept different media, the unit is equipped with a dual feed system that includes a 12-inch paper feed slot on the front of the unit and a large 9.75” x 5” sliding door on top of the unit for crumpled paper and multimedia devices. A clear window in the top feed opening allows users to view the destruction process. All materials are destroyed to a final waste particle size of just 3.6 x 43 mm. An automatic oiler keeps the cutting head lubricated for peak performance.
The OmniShred is controlled by the i-Control multifunction switch which powers the unit on or off, controls forward or reverse operation, and provides a series of status indicators including door open, bin full, etc.
In addition to standard features found on most shredders like Auto Start/Stop and Auto Reverse, the OmniShred incorporates a number of exclusive intimus performance and convenience features including Dynamic Load Sensing to ensure items are fed at the appropriate rate, EcoLogic to reduce energy consumption, and Silentec Construction to keep noise levels low.
All waste is collected in a generously sized 30-gallon bin to minimize the need for bag changes.
The OmniShred operates on standard 120V 20 Amp power and is mounted on casters for easy relocation from one area to another throughout the office.
