MALVERN, Ark. --

Arkansas National Guard officials said they still don't know how an external hard drive vanished.

The drive is a backup that contains personal data from the First Battalion 153rd Infantry Regiment of the 39th Infantry Brigade. The unit is based in Malvern.

Representatives with the guard said they have no reason to believe a crime was committed, but they are asking soldiers to monitor bank statements for any unusual activity.
