3Com Named a Top Technology Innovator by VARBusiness Magazine
MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 21, 2005--3Com Corporation, a leader in secure converged networks, today was recognized by VARBusiness magazine for outstanding achievement in technology innovation. The 3Com(R) Switch 8800, which is the most powerful enterprise network core switch offered by 3Com, was named a winner in the Voice & Data Networking category of the VARBusiness Tech Innovator awards competition.
VARBusiness magazine, which covers the business of technology integration, honored 3Com at an awards event held on Oct. 20, 2005, in San Francisco. The Switch 8800, a Terabit-speed LAN switch that supports IP telephony convergence and advanced security functionality, was among more than 500 entries submitted in 11 technology categories.
