Vericept Corporation Announces New Vice President of Marketing

Brett Schklar, senior director of product and marketing, moves to top marketing position

Vericept Corporation, the leading provider of comprehensive compliance and content control solutions, has announced the promotion of Brett A. Schklar, senior director of product and marketing to vice president of marketing.

In this role, Brett will leverage his leadership in product management, strategic marketing, brand management and industry expertise to drive the execution of Vericept's strategic product and marketing goals, ensuring that Vericept’s strategies align directly to the pressing business requirements of its customers.

Prior to joining Vericept, Brett was director of market solutions of Q1 Labs, Inc, an early stage network security software company. Brett also has significant experience in the security industry with product management and marketing, brand management and strategic marketing practices. His experience includes positions as senior offer manager of services as well as product line manager with Internet Security Systems (ISS). Brett has also held senior product marketing and sales positions at AT&T's Internet Services. He has served as a panel leader and speaker at numerous industry and marketing events, including: The State of IT Security, Corporate Privacy and Information Conference, SCERT Conference, TEPR, Security and Privacy Trends for Partners Conference, Networked Economy Summit, Comdex, and RSA Security Conference. Schklar has served as Chairman of the Product Marketing/Management Special Interest Group for the Technology Association of Georgia and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Denver Software Club.
