Everbridge has acquired Open Measures, an open-source intelligence provider, in a move aimed at expanding the company’s ability to identify potential threats emerging across digital platforms.

Open Measures collects and analyzes publicly available information across more than 45 digital sources, including mainstream and alternative social media platforms and online communities. Its technology is designed to identify developing narratives, connect related activity across platforms and help organizations investigate evolving threats.

Everbridge said incorporating those capabilities into its risk intelligence portfolio will give customers earlier visibility into potential operational, physical and reputational threats. The company also sees opportunities to use Open Measures’ data collection capabilities and open-source intelligence expertise for AI-powered analysis, investigation and decision support.

“Many of today’s most significant risks first take shape online, well before they become operational incidents,” Everbridge CEO Dave Wagner said.

The acquisition is part of Everbridge’s continued investment in risk intelligence and is intended to more closely connect digital risk indicators with the people, locations, assets and operations that could be affected. Open Measures CEO Hank Teran said joining Everbridge will allow the company to bring its intelligence capabilities to a broader global customer base.

Everbridge plans to demonstrate its expanded Risk Intelligence portfolio, including integrated Open Measures capabilities, at GSX 2026 in Booth 1841.
