Army, Marine Corps Award UNITECH(R) Contracts Worth Nearly $15 Million

CENTREVILLE, Va., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- UNITECH(R), a world-class leader in training, performance improvement, simulation and security solutions, announced today that it has won a $8 million, two-year contract from the U.S. Army to develop the Army's Training Development Capability (TDC).

TDC is a leading-edge Training and Doctrine Development Tool utilizing existing databases developed by individual Army Service Schools to allow users to access training at the point of performance, said Mike Murphy , senior vice president of Training and Technology Solutions at UNITECH.

Murphy said UNITECH will provide the Army with the ability to analyze, design and develop training products to be deposited into a centralized database and made available to U.S. forces worldwide on the Army's Training Information Architecture.

The Army contract is just the latest among the recent wins, totaling nearly $15 million, by UNITECH's Training and Technology Solutions division. In addition, other awards include:

-- A $2.7 million, three-year contract from the U.S. Marine Corps Training and Education Command Tech II under the Seaport-E contract vehicle. -- Three contracts over 1.5 years totaling $2 million from the U.S. Army under the Distance Learning Education Training Products (DLETP) contract. -- Four delivery orders totaling $2.7 million from the Army National Guard under the Military Interactive Multimedia Instruction Center (MIMIC) contract.
